POST-QUANTUM READINESS REFERENCE

Which chains have shipped post-quantum cryptography. Which have not.

Quantum computers will eventually be able to forge ECDSA signatures and decrypt the elliptic-curve key exchanges that secure most Layer 1 and Layer 2 chains. The migration to post-quantum primitives has started on a small number of chains and not started on most. LayerQu publishes which is which.

The headline output for each chain is Migration Stage on a 0 to 5 scale. The methodology is public, the dataset covers 72 chains, and each score names the primitive evaluated, the gate it passed or failed, and the source category behind the call. The underlying evidence packet is held in our internal audit repository and granted on request to institutional reviewers.

What v3.1.0 surfaced

Of 72 chains scored, exactly one has shipped post-quantum signatures to mainnet (Algorand). Zero chains pass Gate 1a-Sig (no documented hybrid composition deployed anywhere). Privacy-focused chains face a structural Confidentiality exposure: every shielded primitive in production today depends on elliptic-curve assumptions, so a single Q-day decrypts the entire historical pool. Lattice-monoculture appears in every published roadmap that names a single PQ family. Chain size is a poor predictor of readiness; documented hybrid plans are a better one.
